0. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Bunbee account. By using the Service, you confirm that you are 18 or over.
The Service is designed for use by parents and caregivers. Where the Service involves data about a child (such as a child profile), you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and have authority to provide that information on their behalf.
The Service is currently available only to users in the United Kingdom. We do not direct the Service to users in other countries and do not warrant that the Service complies with the laws of any other jurisdiction.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Bunbee application or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Bunbee is a guidance application designed to help caregivers understand food, early development, and wellbeing. The Service provides information through barcode scanning, AI-assisted chat, and curated content.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice to you.
3. User Accounts
When you create an account with us, you must provide us information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Service.
You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.
5. Medical & Professional Disclaimer
THE SERVICE DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, OR TREATMENT.
The contents of the Bunbee Service, such as text, graphics, images, and other material contained on the Service ("Content") are for informational purposes only. The Content is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always seek the advice of your physician, pediatrician, or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition or the health and development of your child. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read on the Bunbee Service.
If you think you or your child may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or emergency services immediately.
6. Product Information and Allergen Disclaimer
Ingredient and nutrition data presented in the Service is sourced from third-party databases including OpenFoodFacts, USDA, retailer data feeds, and AI extraction. Product formulations change over time, and the Service may not reflect the latest version of a product.
ALLERGEN INFORMATION — IMPORTANT
For users with food allergies, intolerances, or specific dietary requirements: do NOT rely on the Service alone to confirm whether a product is safe. Always read the actual product packaging and verify ingredient information against the manufacturer before consumption.
The Service's allergen detection, ingredient analysis, and scoring are guidance tools only and may contain errors or omissions. Bunbee makes no warranty that allergen information is complete, accurate, or up to date.
GUIDANCE SCORES
The colour-coded scores, recommendations, and contextual notes are informational guidance to help you make decisions and are not guarantees of product safety, nutritional adequacy, or suitability for any particular child. They do not replace professional medical, dietary, or paediatric advice.
7. Limitation of Liability
NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS OR EXCLUDES OUR LIABILITY FOR:
(a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
(b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
(c) any matter for which it would be unlawful for us to exclude or restrict liability, including under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Protection Act 1987;
(d) any other liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law.
SUBJECT TO THE ABOVE, AND TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
Bunbee, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from your access to or use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any direct losses arising under or in connection with these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of:
(a) £100, or
(b) the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
8. User Content
The Service allows you to provide certain information, including your child's name, date of birth, dietary preferences, scan history, chat conversations with Bee, and feedback ("User Content"). You are responsible for ensuring that User Content you provide is accurate, legal, and that you have the right to share it (including any information about your child as their parent or legal guardian).
LIMITED LICENCE
By submitting User Content to the Service, you grant Bunbee a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, and process that content solely to provide and improve the Service to you. We do not publicly display your User Content, sell it, or use it for advertising. We do not use your User Content to train third-party AI models.
You retain all ownership rights to User Content you submit.
PROHIBITED CONTENT
You must not submit content that is illegal, defamatory, abusive, infringes third-party rights, or contains personal information about anyone other than yourself or your dependants for whom you have parental responsibility.
